Happy Trails Planning!
August 30 2019 – Amber Crowell
Hello sweet planner friends! It’s Kylie back with you today and I am sharing some more planner inspiration with you all. Since it’s pretty much September, I have been busy setting up some planner pages in my Teal A5 planner. We usually always camp for our ‘Spring’ break here in the southern hemisphere in September so I couldn’t think of a more perfect collection to work with than Happy Trails by Simple Stories!
It has such a cutesy outdoor theme perfect for my month of planning. I was completely obsessed with the Bear die cuts, stickers and stamps and you will see I have added them pretty much everywhere through my pages. I’ve jammed my pockets full of die cuts and a pocket card I’ve made, perfect for planning on the go. I also love the colour it adds also whilst it sits open on my desk.
As always, I have created my own personalised dashboard for the front of my planner this month. I layered two of the papers and machine stitched a border for extra texture. I’ve added some lettering I cut using some alpha dies from my stash and the happy camper I fussy cut from one of the 6 x 4 elements. It was added to my dashboard with a little foam tape to add some extra dimension. As you can see there are lots of cute Bear footprints I have stamped with some brown ink in my craft stash.
I don’t usually add anything to the back of my dashboards but I couldn’t resist this month so I added…..you guessed it….more Bear trails.
I made lots of extra tip ins this month as well such as this cute Moose theme divider card. The paper doily was again from my craft stash.
On my monthly overview page I rarely use the notes column. I will usually have a different area in my planner for note taking so I have added some trimmed paper strips across the top and lower edge of my pages. These monthly pages are the A5 seasonal dividers by the way!
I really loved the plaid print paper in this collection so I have added some torn strips to my weekly horizontal inserts. I just tore these down before measuring my page size and trimming off the excess. So that my pages don’t warp I have adhered them with double sided tape rather than glue.
This has been such a fun collection to create with!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today! I hope you have enjoyed seeing some of my favourite pages.
Until next time,
Kylie xx
