Let's Go Camping!
Let's Go Camping!
I have been wanting to go on a camping trip with my family. It's time to plan a family trip in the great outdoor. "Happy Trails" is the perfect collection to use in planning my family's camping adventures.
I love how my Marigold A5 Planner match this collection so well. The yellow gold color stands out and makes everything looks great. This color also reminds me of fall, which is also a perfect time for camping since it's not too hot and not too cold.
First order of business is to create my front dashboard which will set my mood for planning our camping trip. I've layered 2 different pattern papers. I used "take a hike" as my background paper. For the "love you S' more" paper, I used my paper distresser all around the edges for the torn look. I then embellished it using bits & pieces and chipboard elements.
I used my A5 divider template and cut different papers and added labels to the tab. Since I will not be using this as a traditional planner, I decided to use "family" "ideas" "journal" "notes" "planning" and lists as my tab labels.
I plan to use this set up in planning and documenting our camping adventures in the future. I can add journals, pictures and memorabilias.
Don't feed the bears. I wonder if we will ever have bear encounter in the future. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Decorating my planner pockets can also help set my camping mood in order to make our camping trip happen. I just love opening my planner to a wonderful view. Having this view to look at will definitely have me in planning mood in no time.
Even though I will not be using this planner in a traditional way, I wanted to create a weekly layout to document our trip. I plan to go camping with my family on my husband's birthday in September. So here is my weekly layout for the first week of September that I will be using as memory keeping.
Oh how I miss using stamps in my layout. Did you see the mama bear and baby bear paws stamp? As you can see, I've scattered them around my layout.
September will come very quickly, so I better start planning our camping trip now.
I cannot wait to go camping and celebrate my husband's 41st birthday in September.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you were inspired with my "camping" set up and maybe start your own.
